How do I unassign or delete a section?

Abl allows schedulers to Drag and Drop sections onto the Staff Board in order to place them. However, in order to remove a placed section from the board, schedulers must unassign staff, period, or term. If a scheduler wants to eliminate a section entirely, it can be deleted.

Removing a section

  1. Navigate to the Staff Board.

  2. Click on the desired section to open the Section Inspector.

  3. Click the x next to the assigned staff, period, or term to remove it.

  1. The section will no longer appear on the board and should now appear in the Unplaced Sections tray.

Deleting a section

  1. From the Course or Staff Board, find the desired section and click it to open the Section Inspector.

  2. Click 'Delete Section' at the bottom of the Section Inspector.

  3. Click 'Yes, delete this section' in the confirmation dialogue and the section will be deleted.
