Tumble by Scheduling Group

If your school added tags to differentiate programs or groups, you can ensure that students tagged are scheduled together in the right courses during a Tumble.

The setting to Place Students By Group prioritizes placing students tagged to a group into course sections also tagged to that group. Use this setting to load students in groups anytime you Tumble.

If this setting is turned off -- the default setting -- students tagged to a group will not necessarily be placed into the corresponding courses they need.

  1. Navigate to the Students Board

  2. If you would like to tumble only a subset of students, such as a single grade level or only students with IEPs, filter the student board to that group of students (If you wish to tumble all students at once, skip this step)

  3. Click the Set Up a Tumble button in the upper right corner of the screen

  4. Under General Settings > Composition select Respect Group Restrictions

  5. Adjust other Tumble settings as needed and click the Tumble button when you are ready to Tumble
